Default Data Logging Help

Hey Bill, so finally now I have got to point of logging some data but as soon as I try to open winaldl on my laptop it says :Cannot open serial port: I have a serail to usb cable that I bought from ebay to plug into my aldl cable with the little disk that had the driver installer. I'm so close but yet so far! Any ideas of why it cant open the port?

Did you go to the config tab and cycle thru the ports to see if 1 shows up OK.

You may also have to go into the devices section of your computer control panel to see what port is assigned to your cable.
I think winaldl can only go to 14.
you may have to change the port number in settings to something around 4 or 5.

Also when you do this give it a few seconds, like 5 seconds. I have clicked so fast I missed it. Takes a few seconds to find it.

Yeah I did that too, port 3 was what it was suppose to be on and I clicked to fast. So lately the jeep has been running like crap at like 2 - 3 grand. Floods itself out so bad that you have to really romp on it to take off. My motor has a Isky 270 grind cam, long tube headers and a performer rpm intake so I wouldnt have thought that it would run to rich! Here is a few different data logs that maybe you guys can help with with where to start.

Well......
You have many fault codes.
Ign module, knock sensor, O2 rich, Map high, etc......

The cam is a little big so it may cause some issues with the ecm thinking you are lean and adding more fuel in closed loop.

So the first thing is, you need to explain your system.
What sensors are you running?
What is the fuel pressure? inlet and return.
Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Did you do the voltage checks?

What have you done to make sure your system is installed correctly?

Do you unplug the ecm prior to logging data to clear any old codes?

You should also save the BLM table when logging data per the FAQ's.

Your map is definately high and fluctuating so you need to pay attention to the manifold vacuum.
