Ill be at the North Texas Binder event in Marble Falls in two weeks.

I'm in the incredibly slow process of re-assembling my 71 scout that I took down to 10,001 pieces.
I will be swapping in a D44 front axle to replace the dana 30. But need a 373 gear set to match the rear - anyone re-geared and have a set??

I also need a black instrument panel/gauge cover for the dash

    email, txt, or call

    Thanks

You may find it difficult to find 3.73 gears in a d44 front. Most scouts 75 and newer came with highway gears for more fuel economy. 3.54, 3.31, and 3.07 gears. I converted my 73 with front Dana 39 and drums to a D44. I never found a D44 with 3.73 gears.

My 71 D44/D30 has 3:73 front and rear. A local scout owner has an extra rear D44 with a set of 3:73 ring and pinion. I checked three websites randys, yukon, and motive and all them show the same model of gear sets front and rear. I should be good there.

Still looking for the black dash instrument panel and gauge cover

    Thanks for that info.

Im seriously considering converting the D44's in my 800a from 3.54 to 3.73.
