I ordered a set of bumpers from you back in May. I was originally told they would ship before the Nationals.

Every month since then, I've contacted you, and you were quick to reply that you have been swamped and that you could ship one in two weeks and the other two weeks after that. I've been getting that response every month for the last three months...

Can you please honestly tell me when my bumpers will ship?

    Lorne,

We'll get them out next week after the holiday. We apologize for the delay. We are going to suspend taking new bumper orders until we get caught up.

Front bumper was waiting on the porch for me when I got home today Sean! Haven't had a chance to unwrap it yet, my not be able to until Friday... I'll post some pics. Looking forward to taking a look at it, fitting it up and getting it powder coated! And then doing it again when the rear one gets here...

    Thanks!

I guess it came powdercoated/painted? Was that unexpected?

Rear bumper came in a while ago. The Big Brown Truck had a field day with it...

Latch was missing and the latch catch was all bent up... This is the after shot were I had to heat it up to bend it back.

License plate bracket was missing and the plate was bent...

The bearing cap and bearings were all bent out shape...

Sean over at AnythingScout made good on everything and I was able to repair the damage.

All in all, I am VERY pleased with these bumpers! They are stout as hell and will be the finishing touch on this build when it is done. They are well worth the wait to have them made!

They will be powder coated eventually, once I get the engine and tub mounted to the frame.

Thanks to Anything Scout for these works of art!

Seem to be decent bumpers. I just helped a local member to me install a set of these bumbers. Only thing that we had issue with was the mounting brackets for the front bumper. Holes were not lining up properly.

Wanted to ask you - did your swing out tire carrier arm come with a zerk fitting to greas the bearings? If not, how do you plan on greasing the bearings?

The one I just helped install didn't have the zerk fitting. Seems odd not to have one for general maintenance purposes. Especially after wheeling and need to go through greasing everything.

The front bracket holes line up on mine. I have to grind off some factory weld slag on the frame so the brackets fit better.

No zerk fittings, but the swing arm is easily removed and the bearings can be serviced without issue. The bottom one has a good seal and the top one has a good bearing cap, so there should be no issues with it once they are initially greased up and installed. I don't anticipating having to go back into the bearings for some time...

So how is the work on the bumpers coming? I see you still aren't taking any orders.
