Instead of removing the 2 rivets that hold the hinge to the frame, i removed the one rivet on the hinge. I replaced the seal and put 1 rivet back in the hinge. It worked perfectly!

I want to add... the straight seal doesn't have a a metal backing so use caution when installing this piece to ensure that it lays flat.
Also, the straight seal is a thicker than the original. Its a tight fit.

If someone wants to donate a Scout II window, I'll send them the first functional prototypes. It doesn't need to be a super nice one just have the seal mostly there and open and close. It may take a few months and you probably won't get your window back intact. PM me if your interested and I'll send you my address.

Are the wing vents the same Scout vs Traveler?

I have one somebody sent so I don't need anymore for now. The scout 2 seals are more complex so it's going to take me awhile.

Big thank you to Dan (BP dan1500) @ Classic City Plastics.

I've purchased/received my window wing gaskets for my 800a.

Very happy to finally have that replacement part.

build thread. I didn't deem it necessary, as others have beat me to the punch on this.

I was fighting some other fires that too precedence last summer, but more than anything, I'm just a bit disappointed in my self and embarrassed it took me so long for my purchase, in relation to all the belly-aching I did. But I do have my set now, and I'm very happy that these are now available to us.
