Better to go with less back spacing (3.5 or 3.75) to keep your tires off the leaf springs at full lock. Plus you'll be more stable. For 33s I would stick with 15" rims. Tires are cheaper and the rims don't get scraped up near as much in the rocks. If it's a street queen and money is no object than 17s do handle better on the road.

Okay, thanks for the input. I was thinking 4.5" backspacing would allow for more clearance behind the wheel over 3.5". This will just be a street vehicle and I was budgeting $1500-2000 on wheels and tires.

summit racing has inexpensive wheels that are similar to factory white spoke such as the ones i have (keystone part number 806785 white wagon wheels 16 x 7 with 4 " back spacing) 61E%252BFpe%252BLCL._SY355___41293.1425680532.1280.1280.jpg

It works opposite. The bugger the back space the more tucked under the vehicle the wheel/tire will be.

They don't really make any 17s with less than 4-4.5" bs. Not that I could find anyhow.
