Looking for a replacement drain pan for my double hump dual drain plug pan on my 73 Scout II does anyone know whether any other aftermarket pans will fit and if yes which one? Trying to avoid paying $350 for an original.

There are no aftermarket oil pans. What's wrong with yours? Also, where are you seeing an original for $350? Any SV Scout II pan will work. I had a 392 out of a 74 4x4 pickup and it worked too.

I guarantee that someone here has the oil pan that you need, for significantly less than $350 USD. The BP want ads are probably the best place to start, both to see what is for sale, and to ask if you don't see what you need.

Where did you find a $350 oil pan? scoutparts.com ?

Found one off a later model Scout II but with just the 1 drain plug. Seller states the oil sump is deeper so it may not work but I don't see why that would make a difference. What are your thoughts?

A deeper pan needs a deeper oil pickup for the oil pump. I put one on my 800 Scout with no problems as the pan came with the different pickup.

Look in our vendor's list. From The Scout Connection to Coonrod's; you should be able to find somebody with one.

All the SV 304 345 pans for SIIs are the same the only difference is the later years got rid of the front plug.

Plus, it is easy enough to add the extra front plug if you find a pan without it.
