While rebuilding one of my 32/36 Webers I found this weird port and I can't find out what its for...any clues? I know its missing a screw or plug cause in every pic I can find there is a slot head brass screw in it. This screw was missing in this carb, and there is a small hole or port in the primary venturi where it is at, circled in red.

    Never mind........
I just got off the phone with Weber tech, they actually call you back if you leave them a message. It was a long drawn out process and he had to go get a carb to look at it cause there is nothing on the diagrams about it and it isnt shown. He has no idea what its purpose is but that it isnt used in any application that he can find. He said plug it and forget it.

Maybe the "tech" is specialized in answering the phone, but doesn't know much about the product...

He said that there is no reference to it being used for any application of that carburetor in Webers database.
