About to replace all axle seals and place extensions on the breathers on front and rear axles and transfer case. Probably not doing the 727. What would be your estimate of how deep the fording depth would be with a 4" supension lift and 32" tires?

Whoa! That's too close to home. Saw a video last week of a Jeep washed off a low water crossing on the Guadalupe River. Really scary. Thankfully no one was inside.

I've done a little fording myself. I've come to the conclusion it's not about keeping the water out so much as letting it out, i.e. drainage. All rigs leak, getting them to drain keeps them dry and fairly cancer free. I've noticed as long as you're moving, leakage is minimal but stall or stop and you've got geysers everywhere depending on how deep you're in. If you're going to ford rather frequently, take out carpets and panels that get soggy.

I've been in some deep water. But the GVW of those trucks is simply inadequate to support the weight of the giant brass cajones those guys are packing. That water was roaring along... and the angle they go in at looks like they would simply tip over if it weren't for the weight of the water pushing against them. That is impressive.

If I were to show that vid to my GF (she's from Siberia originally), I'd bet $100 she would say, "They were probably drunk!"
