Trying to find diagram for wire up of solenoid on 77 scout 2 345 starter
Have to pull tire off if you need more betterness
Figured that bottle wire and MAIN out but not sure of other two wires
Bottom wire , but eyelets on other two small wires big enough for MAIN , DO I put them on top small stud anyway or do they go to MAIN also
This is a very original 1978 that has 1979 wiring.
You have the battery positive, the alternator #2 SENSE wire and the ammeter connection all terminating on the big lug. The little terminal gets the start from the ignition switch. If you have points ignition, you have the other tiny terminal to provide full voltage during cranking to the coil.
That's the way I have it wired, except I have the gold box, so that other one is xtra, no wires to it,
Tomorrow I'll check to see if I put the start wire on wrong post, I put on bottom one, maybe I'll try top one tomarrow
You want the top one for the start from the ignition switch.
Thanks, I'll be on it in morning if no rain
