The 1968 travelall that I have been working on for nearly 3 years now is getting closer. I am in need of the door glass on all 4 doors. If anyone has either some for sale or can provide me a template to have glass cut, I would appreciate.

i am also in need of some advice on what I can do on the rear window motor and front wiper motor. The motors that I have seem to be shot. Does anyone know of replacements or alternatives that will work on this truck. I have been told the 73 window motor will work but wanted to confirm before I go down that path.

The positive is that the 392/700r4 combo is in place, the 83 bronco fuel cell is mounted between frame rails, Brazilian hardwoods have been installed in rear, Lokar shifter is in place, new A/C and heater system are in place, new steering assembly is set up, and the brackets for the 03' Chevy seats are in place as well. Should have everything buttoned down by end of week to hear it run for the first time since I got it from Nate 4 years ago. Sending it off after that to get disc brakes put on. And then will be ready for paint and to install glass.

    Thanks in advance
    Britt

Just bought a 66 travelall and found that a 2000 dodge wiper motor is near an exact fit for the old wiper motor.

This great to know. The truck is having disc brakes and hydro boost upgrade put on right now and should be ready for paint in two weeks. I will start the search for a good donor wiper motor this weekend at LKQ. Thanks for the tip and hope to provide picks when I get it back from shop.

Installing discs and a 7" booster on my travelall now. Found that the 78 Monte Carlo discs will work with the correct bearings. Designing the mount bracket to have cut for mounting the calipers soon!

Have you tried taking the motor and rear window regulator apart ? I was fiddling with the one in my parts t-all, And found once
the motor was freed up it worked , the regulator idler gear axle was coming loose in it's anchor ( I tack welded it) Now the assembly works
    great !

Water/condensation is a killer for those armatures. Rust just binds them up.. If I can convert to a newer style motor which typically has better protection from the elements, that's my preference.

Update: After several years and some really slow progress the 1968 Travell is running. Thanks to Hamilton fuel injection and the addition of a 4L60e its moving under its own power. Should have it at the paint shop in the next couple weeks and then fingers crossed the back side glass goes in without any trouble. Unfortunately my pics of the build have been lost with my phone.

I like the wood floor in your Travelall!
I just got my 66 Travelall back on the road. It's 2WD and has a Chevy rear, trans and motor swap. Did a tilt wheel and electric gauge swap as well.
