A up here it seems anything over 20 years they want to see an official appraisal that lists any damage, upgrades, mods, etc.

I just can't sell it before I ever even drive it. Think I'll pick up a trailer and look at off highway insurance.

Is switching vin tags illegal in Canada? Just saying if they appraised a "doner" scout and all it donated was its vin. might not be covered to the amount you would want but covered enough to get on the road.

    Pretty sure that's illegal anywhere.

Well in the meantime I've added more work to the list. Ordered a set of Trail gear Dom 58" rock sliders to double as side steps for my wife and kids to climb in. Will figure out how I want to mount those later on when they arrive. Not sure if I want them bolted on or welded on fully.

If I bolt them I think I'll drill and sleeve the frame for 1/2" bolts

Should be a fun project when they arrive. Got two years to install them lol.

Got the sliders mocked up where I want them, as I want them to be a step as well I left them flatter than most, and since the supplied Dom standoffs are on 11 3/4" long I need to add a 1/2" plate in the rear and 1/4 plates to the frame for the center and front standoffs.

Got the frame tie ins cleaned up, mocked up and the frame prepd for me to weld these in.

Hurts because I was stupid the other day and took a shot to the chest from the butt end of my model 12 3" heavy duck lol... Stupid story but needless to say my lung and ribs are very very sore and laying under it on my left side killed.

Finally ordered a front prop shaft!

Went through Adams driveshaft using the Bleep20 code from bleepin jeep.

Ended up so far $475 CDN. With shipping. With discount was $250 US before shipping.

Ugh. New driveshaft binds already at ride hide. Friggen gay.

I have a longer cv yoke on there from an Np231 jeep xfer case.

I need to go to the Spicer 2-4-4341 yoke as it's an inch shorter. I'm thinking I need to shim my xfer case up about 1/16" higher to change my drive angle and then I'm going to have to clearance the H yoke for a couple more degrees of rotation.

Never ends should have stuck with a long travel standard driveshaft.

Ordered a Neapco N244341 yoke from driveshaft America.com should be here within a week. Also going to shim the trans up another 1/16 to an 1/8th. I went back and checked my engine angles etc and carb surface was 1.5* angled to the rear so I'm going to flatten that out to 0*. Which should help the front driveahaft angle too.

Got my rock rails made up and ready to line before I weld them to the frame.

Still lots of fun to have building I guess!

Christ after reading all this I realized how lucky I got with my insurance, they asked what kind of vehicle it was, age, and condition.(scout 2, older than you, no body panel without a dent) and they gave me cheap liability because of the age. I don't think they ever even looked at a picture of it. Good luck with the insurance! Unless you want to trade for 2 older scouts...
