Well.....I guess. You seem to be one of the few here that doesn't need a swift kick in the a$$ to get/keep moving! Were you up all night?

And it looks great! I really like that color. Plz let us know how it holds up as I (and probably a butt-load of others) will be going down that path someday.

    Woodbine Green 5902.

It's no where near mint green. Maybe check your monitor settings.

Well came home. Plan was to work out the Legs.... Well worked out my upper lifting that roll bar on on my own lol. Skipped the work out and spent about an hour out there in the shop. She's bolted in and locked down. It's solid as hell! I still plan on eventually adding the front bars that go to the windshoeld frame or doing something like the anything scout or IHPA flat roll bar legs.

Next up seats on Monday! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Got so much done today! My gals helped out tons. We got the rear seat in and bolted up. Got the front seats in and bolted up! Parking brake and all the pedals! Also test fit the steering column... I did a boo boo! I didn't have my steering wheel in when I located the seat bases... My drivers seat is over to the left about 2" off center compared to the steering... To late she's staying that way. There is enough play in the steering column bolts to slide it a bit to the left but not much.

I'm sure I'll get used to it. Did the test fit more to see which steering wheel I'm going to go with I think the 13.5-14" wheels will work just fine.

Stock ralleye wheel is 15" with 3.5" dish.

Nice work Tom - its always fun when you have good help! You might want to think about changing the title again. As a suggestion maybe “Toms 79' "Beaster" Canadian SSII” because that mess is no longer a mess! :thumbs up::thumbs up:

Got a bit done. Today steering column all figured out and painted. Ign lock replaced. All cleaned up old steering wheel is out of the picture now. Got my CPP steering joints installed. Need to cut a section of 3/4 DD shaft. Speakers installed in the kick panels.

Clutch rod installed. I'm thinking I need to add 1.5" to the length of it because I did 1.5" of body lift.

Still some pretty awesome work; the speakers look really nice in their new home!

The new build title is also deserving, but pretty soon you will have to change it yet again to reflect the additional future touches?

Got a couple more hours out in the garage today.

Started on the dash. Pulled it all apart, removed wiring harness. Need to prep it for paint.

Steering column is in and complete minus the new steering wheel. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

You got rid of the "air conditioning" as MrsKenmore calls it. Looks awesome.

    Big question is

Do I paint it like this in the photo or go green dash with green gauge surround?

Or black surround on green dash?

My dash pad is the black SSII pad. [IMG]

If it was me,if its bed liner green,I would do the surround in black paint,if the green is paint I would go green.I just don't like a bumpy dash.

Inside job today. Cleaned up the gauges, repainted the pointers. They're not perfect but good nuff for a 40yr old truck!

I like that I have one speedo that's dual mileage with both miles and kilometers. Two others I have are just KM.

Really cool! Your definitely on the downward slope. It's coming together nicely. Black gauge bezel covering. No brainer.

Got a start on the inner fenders today.

Pass side is pretty much good to go just had to cut out the room for the shock tower.

Drivers side had a bunch of rot under the battery tray. Cut it all out made a patch from 16ga and welded it in. Ran out of wire so need to get a new reel morrow to finish the last couple of patches then it's clean, prime and ez line them.

Oh I'm using a grp 31 battery so went with a stainless tray from summit. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
