I sandblasted both heater boxes. The one had rot around the face that meets the fender and the other had rot in the fan volute. So I cut up both to make the one. Was pretty easy and it's only like 22 or 20g steel. Supprisingly my Lincoln 180 with 25 thou wire on its lowest settings did pretty darn good with no burn thru.

I used raptor liner on the bottom... Didn't really like the coverage for almost $180.

Its harder to get decent liners up here in Canada. I want to color match the inside liner but I might just go black.

I can do a full black kit by EZ liner which is a Canadian liner by dominion seal but only available in black.

    Raptor liner is color matchable.

Not sure if we can get monstaliner or grizzly liner up here.

Bought some speakers for the back. I thought the 5.25s came with grilles but they didn't. So I'll just throw them in the roll bar sound bar.

Will still have to find a pair of 5.25s with grilles for the kick panels.

6x9s for the back walls. Going to cut out where the cig ash trays were.

Edit. On second thought I'm going 6.5s up front and just putting the stock Heep speakers back in the sound bar.

These 5.25s are more like a 4" speaker. And much smaller than the original jeep 5.25 speaker. Most people say you can stuff a decent 6.5" speaker in the jeep bar.

Just cheapies but better then the nothing that's in it!

Well took the 5.25" back and traded them for a set of 6.5"ers.

The 6.5s fit perfect in the kick panel vents. The 6x9s fit perfect in the back.

My body air zip saw works awesome! Great Christmas present. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Spent yesterday cleaning up the front of the tub and primed any bare spots in prep for Bedliner.

Found the original 1979 transport Canada sticker and the IH capacity sticker (only 3/4s of it) the last quarter with the rear axle caps was burnt up when a patch panel was welded in.

But none the less I have masked what was left off so it's visible after I Bedline it.

Put the trans shifter back in and it shifts thru the gears decent enough for a clunky ol truck trans.

Priced out Bedliner I think I'm just going to paint it inside and outside the same color and keep it black under the hood.

Still trying to decide on Woodbine green or OD green... As Gord Pomp states guacamole green!

Mine was originally Tahitian Red with the Black and gold applique.
I think I've narrowed it down to 1978 color Woodbine green.

I wasn't planning on repainting mine because I like the amount of fade I have on my Woodbine Green but I saw that Anything Scout did a build that is Woodbine Green and it looks really good freshly painted. All mine has left to do is the bodywork and interior to be complete so it is on my mind I am going to lizard skin the interior and rhino line the under side of the tub but a fresh green paint job may be in the cards for me. Then again I have been able to drive it through all the other work so the thought of not being able to drive it during the body work makes me sad.

Just got off the phone with napa... They can mix me up the urethane base with no binders in it. 2 qrts of woodbine green base tint is just over $100 bucks! So the interior is going green!

Ill do the dash in it aswell. I will also do the windshield frame inside and out.

So I'm looking at around $ 1000 total to bedline the whole thing inside and out.

You have this bad habit Tom.... posting items like seat bases and paint and.... but they aren't in yet so it doesn't count :cornfused::no:.

Actually, in my book they do indeed count, but myself and the community expect great(er) things going forward!

Looking forward to seeing the paint on, as I'm sure you are too.

    Does this count!

So far this was 5 of 8 litres of liner sprayed. I need to save 1 for my dash once I get it all cleaned up. Think I might use 1 or 2 more for a bit more coverage on the interior just waiting for it to flash off for an hour or so as it's being sprayed in a cool winter garage lol.

Well.....I guess. You seem to be one of the few here that doesn't need a swift kick in the a$$ to get/keep moving! Were you up all night?

And it looks great! I really like that color. Plz let us know how it holds up as I (and probably a butt-load of others) will be going down that path someday.
