Well finally been out doing some work on BeasterX.

Wire wheeled and cleaned up the underside of tunnel in prep for paint. [IMG]

It's just getting tremclad primed with a spray gun. Not sure what I'm going to top coat with yet. Somethi that can be sprayed with a shutz gun.

Wire wheeled and cleaned up the fuel tank skid in prep for paint.

Also cut/ drilled out the PO welded in body bolts for the front mounts. That was a 1.5 hour job and annoying lol. Also welded in two braces for the front cab mounts since the PO welded em too low and not welded to the floor brace in the pan.

Oh and had to drill two 1" holes in the bed to get to the body bushing bolts as they were put in before being welding the bed in lol.

Now need to figure out if I want a 1 or 2" body lift plan is 35s eventually.

Picked up this jeep TJ bar with soundbar.

    All the seat belts too.

I was going to spend $80 just on 4 new 3pt seatbelts. Got this whole bar for $100.

Got the idea from @zeppelin73scout on Instagram.

Well got the underside primed today. First time using an HVLP gun. Very little over spray which is nice. But with the thick tremclad it needed to be thinned a bit. I used acetone. 1.7 nozzle and sprayed wide open. Now I'll let it cure a couple days and then spray the underside with black rustoleum (tremclad) same I used on the frame.

    Enjoy my redneck body hoistin!

Nice work If I were you I would spray raptor liner over the top of the rustoleum to prevent thousands of rock chips in the paint that eventually lead to rust.... I have use raptor on the bottom of my tub with good results. Much easier too do it now with the body off of the frame vs later on with the two back together!!!! Just some advice from guy who has done a few of these....... Good luck...

Thanks! Just stopped by the local Napa to get some seam sealer and asked if they had raptor liner as I had thought I seen it there before they pulled it from the shelves in Canada.

Lo and behold I got the last 4 litre kit they had!

They sell a shutz gun too but the pick up tube is only 8" or so for these bottles you need 9-9 1/2" tube.

Ill either make one or buy something on Amazon. [IMG]

Used half a tube of seam sealer to seam a bit of stuff today around the front cowl and pans. Before that I scuffed all the primer with red scotch brite in prep for the raptor liner to be sprayed underneath morrow!

    I'm excited!

Even put some drop sheets up to cut my shop in half and cover the frame and other parts from overspray.

Shooting with a shutz gun at prob 50-60 psi.

Well shot the raptor liner today. Did one medium to heavy coat. 4 litres was barely enough and it's thin in some spots with a bit of primer still visible.

Ill touch it up with dominion spray on bed liner from CDN tire.

Ended up having to spray it at like 70-75 psi started around the 50-60 they reccomend and it's just too thick. First bottle didn't go too far.

For the money they charge for this shit I expected more.

Will let it sit for a few days then bolt in the fuel tank and think about dropping the body down on the frame.

I'm actually waiting on the trans bellhousing to engine dowel pins from summit. They were back ordered and I guess I should wait to slide the frame back under as I have to separate the bellhousing and engine again to do it.

Well it's a good thing I decided I'd pull the trans back from the engine in prep to install the dowels in the engine.

I found that I forgot to tighten up the throw out bearing fork on the shaft. And I didn't really lube the input shaft splines so I used Ford XG 8 ptfe grease. (had it from greasing my trucks driveshaft splines)

Now just waiting for my backorder from Summit to ship on the 18th.

Once that's in I can drop the tub back on the frame and get started on putting her all back together!

I just read through your build thread; what a great effort! And in a record amount of time IMHO.

I'm sure it feels nice to be this close....

I'm sure there's rust in the outer rockers. Can't tell if they were cut out before the new rockers were welded on over top... Don't really care this tub is too far POd to fix.

Easy peasy, especially after what you've been through!

Did the PO tell you who Molly is/was or the history behind "her"?
