IMike I stole these pictures off the webb, guy on pirate4x4 posted them up says he owns this cart. I need a set of decals for the cart I bought soon as I would like to haul it to a couple shows this summer.

I also have the chassis I bought if you need it.

    Nice! A red one!
I need to get measurements and color matches from John's, then I can make them. Honestly, I won't see it until Nationals, so I doubt I can get them done for this show season.

I know where this red one now resides.... and I hope Scoutco is ready to make some decals for the mini Scout SSII! It is still in south FL in good company with some full size Scouts! Russ

As far as decals, I need to talk to John Glancy. I may steal his at Nats this year, and bring it home with me...if he'll let me. Then I can duplicate them RIGHT.

Figured this would be the best place to update my project...it has sat dormant for several years, with the bodywork and paint done, and that's it.

I bought it with no chassis...just a body alone.

I am going to go pick up a chassis for it tonight. Let the fun begin!

Mike looking at the chassis you will need to rework it and remove the seat, and build "nerf bars". I will get you some detail chassis pictures tonight to include mount measurements. Too bad you are on the other side of the country, I found and bought a cart chassis here that is exactly like the one I have, I then gave it to a little kid down the street after I found mine ran good. Here is the best picture I have on this computer.

Thanks, Robert. I could tell the chassis would need some work, and the seat would have to go, in order to make it all happen. The thing is, this one will spend 325 days a year or so withOUT the body on it, so Matt can ride it all over...then we'll bolt on the body for parades and Scout shows. Double duty thing. So I think I'll make the body mount hoops bolt on and off easily so they aren't sticking up with the body off. Same with the seat...just make it unbolt, then bolt on a support for under the fiberglass seat-part of the Scout body.:punk:

More gooder pics would be appreciated...even if I go another route to mount the body!

OK Mike here ya go sorry for the blurry pictures but you will get the idea.

    (1) The body mounts in the first picture are 21" across.

    (2) The "nerf bars" are 33" wide side to side

    (3) the mounts measure 54" front to back

The cart is just a very cheaply made go cart and has had a very hard life so I will not be doing a restoration, more like a rebuild and shinning it up a little. Looks like if you were to get some electrical conduit and a binder for it you could make up the mounts easy. The cross "bars" the body mounts too is just some flat stock about an inch wide.

A few more over all pictures so you get the idea. Also note Leona has the trailer hitch installed, told her I was going to get the clown music going when she is driving the thing around:stupid:. Mike my plan is to paint the thing white and have Vern do "Spear Stripes" like Leona's Scout, I had to abandon the SSII cart and putting it in my man cave when she figured out she could drive it. I am still planning to have the mold made and I may make a 1/2 Scout trailer for her to pull with her big ball:D

Also note the whole trailer was added at some point in the past, it is just a length of angle iron.

Thanks, Robert! I got my chassis tonight. It's about an inch too long.:censored::cornfused:

I reckon I'll shorten it up, and move the engine forward an inch and put a little longer chain on to compensate. That and remove the seat, stretch the steering column four inches or so, and it should work.

Either that or just build a friggin chassis and be done with it.

One of 126 built. One of 8 accounted for.
