If any one is interested in a $500 parts Scout, check asheville CL. Seller said he is ready to move it. Scout 800
Free if someone needs it. The front section of a D series pick up bed. This might be good for patching damaged sections of your bed floor. In Garner North Carolina.
Looking for a short wheelbase D series bed, '69-73. Either stepside or regular, doesnt matter to me. Would love complete with a tailgate but that's just wishful thinking.
Would this transmission mate up with a 304?
is the 4brrl manifold and/or gas tank still available? I'm definitely interested and live down in Anderson
Wanted: Windshield Wiper motor for 1965 Loadstar, 3 wire motor mounts under the hood at the firewall. As seen below in the middle of the firewall up near the cowl.
Heard today that there is a Scout at LKQ on Wade Hampton Blvd in Greer as of 7/3/15. I have no other details
Looks like a V8 800 that had a roll over. I don't know who built their cage, but I would be pissed, it must have been muffler tubing!
1972 1310 2WD
HYD dump bed
304 with T19 4 speed
new fuel pump, master cylinder, front wheel cylinders
has some rust spots under windshield and P/O floor patch
Anyone have a back seat for a scout II they want to part with?
looking for a running 345 or 392, hopefully (relatively) cheap!
Will be traveling from the Myrtle Beach area to the upstate of South Carolina (various locations) several times, this fall. If you need something transported to or from NE SC, or SE NC let me know. Small items go free, large items may incur a minimal fuel fee for driving my truck vs. fuel efficient car if required.
Guys I have a '75 Scout II I think I am going to part with. I picked it up not too long ago with the hopes of getting it on the road, but I no longer have a garage or the time to put into it. I got it from the previous owner after it sat for 8 or so years untouched, under a car cover (previous owner said it died in a parking lot one day when the gold box crapped out). It's rusty as all get out, has a 345, 727, tc-143 cable actuated transfercase, F&R 44's with discs up front, power steering, A/C, etc. It's pretty complete, bumper to bumper (except for spare tire and mirrors), including interior (except for headliner, which I ripped out) all the way down to the original vinyl floor mat. I also have a clean title for it. That being said... it's a project, FOR SURE.
The motor turns over on it's own and it's got good spark (had to replace the points and fix some previous owner wiring left over after the gold box went out... he tried to bypass it and run points, poorly). I never fired it up... didn't get that far. I may try in the next week or so. It's got a side window in the hard top which is busted (I have a replacement with gasket), along with the liftgate window (no replacement for that), and the windshield is cracked. It'd require a lot of metal work to get driving, particularly the floors (thanks to those broken windows). It would come with replacement parts such as side windows, 19 gal fuel tank (and sender, brand new), and a 500 CFM Holley 2300, maybe more.
Anyway, it's got loads of great parts on it and the body is relatively straight (a few dents, lots of rust) aside from one dent in each one of the front fenders (spots covered with bondo in the first picture). Some scout rust in the rear quarters behind the doors, which the previous owner just caked in bondo and never sanded down (looks like friggin concrete!). I'm asking $1,000.00 on craigslist, but am open to offers, of course. Pickup in Chapel Hill, NC. I'll upload photos when I get a chance to take them, but here are a couple from when I picked it up. I also would be willing to trade for Scout II parts, particularly a soft top (Softtopper preferred), front cage or full cage, front winch bumper (with or without winch), or rear bumper with tire carrier (all + cash except for the softtopper, depending on condition). I'm not interested in parting it out, as my apartment complex would kick me out immediately!
and a crappy one...
1975 Scout II project with running 345 and lots of great parts
