Hopefully you can see the image. This is the kind of alternator I got from Super Scout Specialists. The upper right corner shows the kind of connection the alternator has. I can't hook this up to anything in my Scout. Are there any adapters available so it will fit the 6 pin harness or is it possible that they grabbed this off an engine that wasn't in a Scout? Any help is appreciated!

There is no adaptors (that I have seen). Did you already send them your alternator as the core?
But call the they stand up guys who will help you out.

When I bought my SD33 Scout there was a Delco alternator and a separate belt driven vacuum pump. I'm trying to get everything back to factory spec or close to it anyway. So this has been a challenge for me since finding parts for these are not easy. To answer your question, I bought the alternator used sight unseen over the phone. Super Scout Specialists recently bought a big inventory of SD33'S (contradicts my previous statement) and it's hard telling what the engine came out of that they pulled the alternator from. I'm hoping I can return the alternator and get one with the correct connector.

I think I used 2 of the 6 wires and ignored the other 4. I have been running this setup forever. I may be able to check and see what pins I am attaching to. I will try to get out there and check it out. I am sure you can find the connector and then just use the two pins. Maybe I could get wire codes or colors and let you know what I did. I think you now have the higher output newer alternator than came with the Scout originally.
