    John,

    I got it at:
    Mid State Inc
    624A Leapart St
    West Columbia 29169
    803-926-0790

    Brand: Z/M
    Part #: 245-44008

IIRC he said that he only had one, but I would guess he could order more.

John do you know the number of teeth on the starter drive???

    AIM # SJ-0032R
    Dixie # S-8909

Hitachi # S13-14 (Hitachi Sales uses the same #)
    LTD # 16909
    Nastra # 16909
    Wilison # 91-25-1118

I have looked at the 3 starters I have. All of them have non-readable mylar stickers on them, so I can't confirm any part numbers from my end.

Many thanks Carey for the bloodhounding on all of this.

    Good stuff.

    John,

It started with the Solenoid find, but I ended up chasing my tail. I found a brand new Denso starter for the NPR trucks 4BD1 that looked like it might fit, but the nose cone bolt pattern is wrong by just a bit. The numbers may come in handy for someone one day.

ps anyone need a NPR starter???

I don't need a starter currently, but I'd love to find a lighter one. I also don't have any idea what a starter rebiuld or a replacement starter would cost.

I'd still love to find a starter nose cone that would allow me to use the Denso NPR starter that I have because IIRC its 2.8 or 3 KW and it would really spin an SD33.

Eldon saved my bacon a few years back by telling me about a solenoid off a 6.9 0r 7.3 with a hitachi starter would fit my hitachi on my scout. $15 bucks later at Auto zone and it has worked great since. :)
