I have a 72' scout II with the original AMC 258 just purchased. The transmission is a T18A, which I thought was original, until I pulled due to the clutch not working. The pilot bushing had a "sleeve" that had shattered within the clutch housing. When I went to replace the bushing with a bearing, the bore fits the input shaft, but the OD was much larger than what I pulled out. I had to have a Chevy pilot bushing machined down to work. None of it made sense to me. I dont see anything on the line setting ticket indicating the transmission. Any info??
