I need to replace the master cylinder in my 72 scout ii. I have drum on all four but would eventually like to go disc. Ihpartsamerica charges $60 for a disc master and $170 for a drum master. What's the difference and which one do I go with? Thanks!

You posted in a vender section( dealers),up higher is the general IH tech area that would be the best place to ask questions. You need to buy the one for drums,as that's what you have now,a disc one will not work properly.Have you tried napa or any local parts store.IH partsamarica are great people, but $170 for a scout II master cylinder seems very high, are you sure its the correct one for your scout.
