Hi all, I have my liftgate all open and disassembled for rust repair so I was wondering what the normal operation of the latch should be. Mine seems like the side bent rods don’t move all that much. I can see that the Center mechanism seems to move through a range from the intended movement About 1/3 of the bent bail length. The roller seems to roll ok but the bottom metal hoop does seem to have some slack but this might be normal. So I am wondering what a normal range of motion would be for the latch? Since I’m in there I might as well repair it if it needs it. I can’t test in in the Scout as the hardtop is off, like everything else.

    Thanks,

    Don B
