    RMIHRers,

A few Southwest Scouters are traveling to RMIHR this month. We are planning to wheel Holy Cross on Friday the 30th and we would like to wheel Carnage Canyon/Chinaman Gultch on Monday the 2nd.

Would anyone like to join us?

    Mike

I'd love to, but I'm probably going to helping on some RMIHR sponsored trails. Chinaman's is a fun trail. Carnage looks a little too much for my truck.

Ha, blame it on the wife :)

The trail trips that are listed on the RMIHR website are:

    Sunday, August 2nd

    Mosquito Pass 3
    Silver Falls 6

    Monday, August 3rd

    Trail Name Trail Rating
    Wheeler Lake 7
Georgia Pass / Mini Rubicon 6
    Boreas Pass 2
    Twin Cone 8

We did Mosquito Pass and Wheeler Lake last year. This year, I'd like to do Silver Falls and Twin Cone.

What are the chances of running Wheeler Lake Sun? I just didn't know if all of the trails were set in stone. We would love to do it again but we are headed to BV then back to Oklahoma Monday after CCanyon. My daughter (6yr old.) has been asking if we are going to go to the snow again. Funny, the little things they remember.

Hmmm, that page is only about 8 years out of date. From when we were in Fairplay before the move to Salida. :) Note that Sunday is the 1st this year, not the 2nd.

I thought I had a different page up there so I'll have to check that out.

At the last meeting Steve Cavender was talking about leading Wheeler Lake as the difficult trail on Sunday, but nothing had been finalized yet. Probably a safe bet that will happen if we put a bug in his and Brian Tucker's ear.

Another one talked about was going over Webster Pass and out the Swan River on the other side, but it didn't look like Webster was going to be open yet the last time I checked.

    HTH, we'll see you there.
