Thanks Darrel. I'm thinking Ouray because when I'm 95 and they take my driver's license away, I can walk to everything in Ouray.

OK, how do I upload a .csv file?

Also, when I mentioned that one of the testers said she could have failed it on visual, she meant the visible black exhaust not the physical make-up of the system.

Well that's good they didn't notice your TBI. The visual standard for exhaust smoke is 5% opacity for 5 seconds.

I figured out the trick and have attached the data file for a log at idle. What else do you need to see?

Thanks very much for your help.

I swapped the whole 4.3L into the jeep, not just the TBI so they were expecting to see it. I had to mess with the stock tune because I am running a manual transmission and the stock set-up didn't have that option if I remember correctly.

Guess I'm gonna hafta dust off my opacity meter....

The laptop I used to data log bit the dust so I'm going to have to start over. Do you want it from start-up to operating temp?

Are .xdl and .adl files the same?

    I think it’d be easier...and quicker...to just move. :twocents:

Do as much as you can.
The XDL should be your log file based on your ADX.
But I think they changed at version 5.0
The ADL may have been before that.
What xdf and adx are you using.

    I am using "Advanced $OD v175-1-10-7-2011.xdf" and "v30 $OD A217.ads". I'll email those to you.

Also, I think I found the most recent idle log file (attached). Sorry for the uncertainty but I was trying to transition to a new-to-me laptop which was further gone than I thought. The one I used previously for logging now (and have reverted back to) has no battery so the lack of accurate time and date stamps has made it more difficult to keep track of some of the files. That and I'm not real good at file management anyway...

I know that a more comprehensive data log is needed but I have removed my rear axle and fuel tank for some R&R so it will be a week or two before I can drive it.

That remains an option - I would only need to move about 5 miles to be exempt...

Check your version of TP and see what it is.
The oldest OD code i have is the 200.
    Yours is the older 175.

I am using TP version 4.14 so I probably need to get that updated along with the newer definition files. Also working on getting my hands on a less-ancient laptop.

Before I jump back into this after a nearly 1.5 year absence I would like to take a moment to talk about shop safety. Even if you know better, never wear gloves while working on a drill press lest your thumb gets caught and wrapped around the bit until the motor stalls resulting in a very near amputation where it attaches to the hand. It is a life changing event. However, on the plus side, it is a good way to get some of that titanium hardware you've always wanted.

Anyway, my original issue that I failed Colorado emissions remains. Failed on hydrocarbons (220 ppm limit, 341 ppm tested) and CO% (1.20 limit, 2.39 tested) at idle. It seems to load-up on fuel at idle then belch a little black smoke and stumble when rev'ed. The Jeep passed everything with plenty of margin at 2500 RPM.

I've attached a data log (I think) collected using 0D_TPV5_v250.xdf/A218_0D_Trans2_v250.adx and would appreciate any feedback I can get. let me know if any additional information is required.
