My wife lost her job for 2 months and all money went to food and useless crap like that, so the project was on hold. Now, back in full swing!
I noticed that the rag joint (not sure what else it is called) has a lot of slop and play....is there a rebuild kit for this and where to get it?
    Thanks all!

Borgeson U joint is the best replacement IMO. If that's too rich for your build right now, you can buy the rubber inner for the rag joint off the shelf at NAPA.

The budget answer is that you should be able to get a new rag joint from most of the Light Line dealers.

The best answer, assuming you have funds, is to convert to a borgson style joint.

Thank you so much! Found the borgeson one! I'll rebuild the stock first, but going that way soon!

Be sure and buy as decent a ragjoint fix kit as you can find!!! The ones on the "help" shelf are made from an inferior rubber and don't have the metal mesh embedded in the rubber like the oem and will only last a year of DD use.
Hopefully napa's pos is a better quality...

Not too bad. You may need a small prybar. And mark you shafts with a marker or paint so the steering wheel will index right.
