The current economic situation is affecting everyone. Even BB supporting vendors are having troubles keeping their revenues up with their fancy modern scout II customer base. Due to the economic situation, more 80 and 800 owners choose to keep their old IH vehicles in service rather than trade in for expensive creature comforts available on more modern 810 models. Not Long ago, I convinced Mike of Scoutco to help me with reproducing a set of stripes for the 800a SR-2. It was a stretch for this Scout II committed vendor, but he came through smelling like a rose.

All kidding aside, the vinyl from Scoutco showed up packaged well, and was pre-spaced, ready to apply. All that was required was a cheap $0.20 squeegee (which I recommend in the future that Scoutco supply with their kit) and some soapy water. The application is simple:

    1. Peel the backing carefully to expose the adhesive side of the graphics
    2. spray the area you are about to apply the graphic with soapy water.
    3. set the graphic in the desired location.
    4. Once in place, squeegee out any air bubbles.
    5. When dry, remove mask.

The biggest thing to remember is that as long as you have soapy water, you are not in a hurry. You can reset the logo as often as you need until it dries. Once it is dry however, it is set. It can be removed, but not reset.

I have had my vinyl on for a month now, and have driven through some moderate brush, and the vinyl quality is top notch and scratch resistant. I have several photos of the installation available, and if anyone is interested, pm me and I will provide them, but it really is that easy. Congrats Mike on a great new product, and welcome to the (800) dark side!

We've actually got several S80/800 items available at this point, Mark...so get off me!:p:D

I appreciate the kind words. This stripe, like quite a few things we're making now, hasn't hit the slow-to-update Scoutco website, yet.:innocent: If you guys need something decal related that you don't see, we either already make it or most likely can. We've started supplying Super Scout Specialists with quite a few new decals, from emblem replacements to stripe kits. Lots of stuff is on their website that I haven't had time to get onto our website, yet. Basically, if you don't see it, ask!

*As far as I can recall, the "feather" decal is the only one that has been requested that I have dropped the ball on. If anyone talks to Mike Kunzleman from PA, tell him I'm still waiting on the blueprint for the feather's front fender piece he got from me almost two years ago at Nationals.:shifty::helpsmilie: I can't make it in-house, but I do want to make it available for the guys who have been waiting for it!

I'll echo Mark's comments about the quality of ScoutCo's vinyl stripes. Mike is also very customer oriented and goes above and beyond to accomodate.
I'll be recommending ScoutCo for any future inquires I get about SR-2 stripes.
