I know the 1980 switched to the O-ring style of pump. My question is that styles used on the box too? I have a 392 installed with it's PS pump and I have a nice new high pressure PS line to go with it. If it's on the box, I'll swap in and use the 1980 pump and hose.

Since we're on the subject. Does anyone know the what the O-ring size/flare or fitting name? Anyone consided swapping to AN hose and fittings?

Same style on the box. I have no idea what it's called other than the o ring style.

I prefer Metric honestly! The truck was originally a diesel, so metric is no big deal. Thanks though.

It's ok, Carl knows metric. He and I both had SD-33's back in the day. Those are all metric.

I should also note I have misplaced my Scout II high pressure hose, or this would have been a bit easier to answer on my own.

Thanks again. I was probably just looking at the same pic. I think I'll get one on order.

It's the GATES 361850 with 16mm and 18mm connectors. Should get mine from Rock Auto today and install it.
    Rd

Update: paid $18.69 including shipping from Rock Auto. Easy install, and it comes with complete instructions for proper installation and bleeding the system.

You can swap out the pressure fitting on the back of the pump.

I will keep that in mind, if for some reason my box is bad. I still have the 1980 pump as well, so right now I am going to swap the pump.
