That's some kinda nice Matt! Is that a bed for the truck in the back? Don't look like its going to take much to get that thing in tiptop shape.
yea thats a rust free fleet-side bed for it on the back, my original plan had been to fix the couple rust spots(I got the stuff with the truck) then cut it down to a short wheelbase with the fleet-side bed but now I dont know Im kinda diggin the flat bed
Just got'em two weeks ago....name: Mater Jr.
I just bought the scout a week ago. It has 87k miles, 345, auto, superwinch hubs, soa lift, buckshot mudders and not a lot of rust through (but quite a bit of surface rust). This is the third scout I've owned, but the first one I'll be trying to work on myself
It isn't running very good (no power, has a miss, doesn't feel like the pedal opens the carb to wot), needs a wheel bearing replaced, rotors replaced and front brake calipers replaced. One tail light works, the brake lights don't work and the turn signals don't work. Even though it has the soa lift, it looks like it still has the stock brake lines.
looks pretty good, you'll definitely want to pull up that floor mat though, they were worse about rusting than with carpet

I'm sure to have several "How To" questions. We are just starting, not a complete rebuild but little things here and there.

I've been admiring all the work on this site for awhile leading into a solid 76 I found in NM after finally pulled the trigger on the right deal (thanking Bill for advice). Here are a few pics as it rolled off the hauler July 4th here at home in TN!
Will get to work immediately on hood alignment, brakes (40mph to stop in about 1/2mile and 727 (slipping under stress), otherwise will tinker on small stuff and drive for awhile before starting to dig deep in the shop this winter...
(trying to embed media album here?)
Picture of my project. Right now just trying to get it in good enough shape to drive around. It does run good and drive but im waiting to get the gas tank back. Also i have to put in floor pans and fix the transmission shifter.
That's a nice looking 4 door IH? Where did you find that? Also, do you have your line setting ticket? Well, good luck with your build and welcome to the club!
