I'll be heading up to Safford, to Jared's place to pick up a fuel tank. Anyone need anything hauled up or back?

Check this out, a plastic/poly 33 gallon fuel tank with skid plate! That should give me a good 600 mile range on pavement.
From left to right, No name rusty 33 gal tank, factory 19 gal and the poly 33 gal.
    Thanks Jared.

And a $120 bill when you fuel up.

Would you rather pay $120 for the round trip or pay $60 at the start and half to pay $80 to fill up to get back home? Plus the extra fuel is carried in a safe container surrounded by steel, not bungie corded to your roof.

No Steve, I would rather have the range that you get with that big tank. I was just wanted to complain about the high price of gas. Old guys like me remember paying 29 cents per gallon. And when I was in school, I recall going into a gas station where they pumped the gas for ya and asking for just a quarter's worth of gas. Gosh, I must be old!!

    Yea.

Gas prices killed me when I was running a 33 gal. tank.
Some places (Young, for example) had a $50 limit.
Never could refill the tank there.
    Ouch.
Not that prices any better these days.

I like my 25 gal. tank
It's range fits well with typical city-to-city distances at highway speeds
And yet is not so big so as I'm hauling extra fuel up and down thru the mountains.

I got a 31.5 gallon "Travel Tank." Not sure where it originates from. Was in the pile when I bought it. Yeah, 2nd mortgage to fill her up but it's nice to have on loooonng runs. Did the El Camino Del Diablo a few years back. No gas stations out there. Everyone else was packin extra cans. I made it all the way with some to spare.:D

Sorry. I only had one poly tank. But I may have a steel 33 gallon if your interested?

I'm not aware of anyone making a 33 poly anymore.... Of course I didn't search very hard. Maybe a tank company specializing in it can make one?
