After a lot of hard work by Rich Petersen (FishWagon), Mitch Neal, and myself the updated SEBA website is live!

Please register for the site, play around, and post any issues that you encounter. The new site has toooons of features thanks to Rich.

    RICH, YOU THE MAN!

Registration is necessary as it will help Mitch and I streamline the running of the club, plus give SEBA members access to some limited information on the members around them.

Thanks again to Rich for his website skills and Mitch for helping push this effort across the finish line.

Yeah, Mitch, Robbie and I put in a lot of good work.

Please, let me know any issues. Play around with it. You can post your own events, pictures, "wall posts" etc....

Anything I can do to make it better, please let me know. That has to do with anything, such as "it's too confusing to do this" or "can you make it so we can do this", etc, etc, etc...

We truly want to make this the best club website out there. So please do not hesitate to make suggestions, you won't hurt our feelings, we promise!!!

One of the nice features is that we now have a "Member Map" so you can see who is close by. That is why, if you have a browser that supports HTML 5, you will be notified that the website would like to access your location. It will also use the information provided in the address fields to locate you.

For instance, Jason, I see you are in Winder. I'm right up the road in Dacula.

    Helps to find fellow binders......

Signing up on the site is how we will be keeping up with the roster from now on. The current roster is over 5 years old and has many that have come and gone, so if you want to get club communications, you will need to sign up on the website.

Make sure you update your location on the member map. It doesn't have to be to your doorstep, but at least the city or general area. If you put your exact adress in, it will be close, but probably not exact. This information will better help us determine where SEBA hotspots are and hopefully start meetings closer to your area.

Oh, and if it hasn't already been said, the member map is pretty stinkin' cool.

I have seen that a few people have registered, but have not responded to the email confirmation. If you have not gotten this, please let us know, or if you are in general having problems logging onto the website, you can post here or on the contact us page on the website.

    Hey Mitch,
I haven't received an email for conformation. Let me know if I need to do anything on my end.

    Later,

Stephen you are already confirmed. We just instated this on Friday to prevent Spammers and Bots from intruding the site.

And also, please include your occupation when you register if you have not done so. We can help each other in other ways, other than Binders, even if it's to email someone about a question that has to do with our expertise.

Robby, Mitch and I are here to do whatever you want in a website. So if you have any ideas at all, run them by Mitch/Robby and if they approve the change, I'll implement.

On your profile pages, you can select your location using the map. I know the map is showing up screwy, I am fixing that.

Any other "bugs" let me know!!

Also, if you find something too confusing, that needs to be streamlined, let me know also....I'm the background programmer, not an interface person, so you won't be hurting my feelings if you find something too hard to figure out.
