I whipped up a new decal that goes on top of the embossed "Scout" script on the 80/800 tailgates. It's a simple decal, but can prove tricky to install since it's gotta be lined up perfectly to the embossed logo. We prespace these on clear plastic rather than paper, so you can see through it to line it up, though.

    Here's a picture:

And the cool thing with this new material is that it is reflective black. In the daytime it's black like it looks above, but hit it with lights at night, and it shines back like this:

In fact, these two pictures are of the exact same decal, taken just a few seconds apart. Pretty cool stuff. We've also got these in reflective white as well, or plain black or white, or pretty much any other color. I'm figuring on getting the "INTERNATIONAL" text for the top of the tailgate done this week also.

Prices are gonna be $8 for the "Scout" and $15 for the "INTERNATIONAL" once I get that design finalized. Just to see if anybody's payin' attention though...the first reply to this thread gets a free set of whatever color they want ON ONE CONDITION: their tailgate is halfway decent as far as paint, and I get a picture of it installed sent to my email. Howie Lederfind sent me the chunk o' tailgate seen in the pics, which was very valuable for the design phase, but not too good for on my website.;) (Thanks, Howie!)

I think it's reall exceptional that you took the time to do this. This is the kind of thing that really gets the attention of the unwashed masses on the road.
    Good job!

    Very cool.
Thanks to Brained and MarkB:beer: for telling me about ScoutCo.

I didn't see the Scout & International tailgate logo on Scoutcoproducts.com are you still making them? I think it's a really nice touch for the S80/800 crowd. The reflective option, is pretty cool too.

I'd be interested in a set for my tailgate. Scout & International script in Reflective Black. $23 shipping to 78414

Also, I'm thinking about doing an SR-2 style hood stripe, but without the rocker decals or the pinstripes. How much for the hood stripe by itself? I'm not sure if I want to go with a white stripe, or a flat black.

My '65 will eventually be IH Red with a white top...

    Thanks,
    Guido

We do still have them. We are in dire need of a website makeover, and I'm in the middle of a computer crash/rebuild right now. We can make stuff again starting tomorrow, and hopefully will have a cheesy site update in the next week or two as well. Email me and we'll get the ball rolling on this.:)

Thanks Mike, I'll shoot you an email.

No rush, I'm about 4,000 miles away from the Scout :tank: and won't be working on it for awhile.

I just wanted to make sure you still made them. I figure I'll order some Scout parts while I'm gone and so they'll be waiting on me when I get home.
