Well I just have to release some joy.
Today I purchased a complete running 1961 original cub cadet.
It has long been my dream to pull into a show in my 61 Scout 80
trailering a 61 Cub original. this dream is now close to reality.
It is paid for now the hard part is to get it to Victoria BC.
It is located in Pennsylvania but it will make here some how?
I'm open to any ideas for transporting or shipping..anyone coming west with an empty trailer $$$

Seems I remember a tractor hauling web,I will have to look for it. But beware I have heard really good results and some really bad things about these. You are dealing with another individual. I think it was on yesterdays tractors. Hope that helps. Looks like it is going to get a ferry ride. :D

Call Super Scout Specialists and ask John if he is going out to the NW Binders roundup this year. He may have room to haul it to there. Last time I saw him at the roundup (2001?) he didn't have a full load. Then you would only have to get it to Springfield OH from PA and home from WA.

Don I am about a 1.5 hr drive from Port Angeles and have 5.5 acres to store stuff on. Currently we have 8 GM's 3 IHC's two imports and 3 tractors so I think I can find the room. :D

    Don,

Great find!! I would offer to help with transport, but living in Oregon City doesn't help much.

Missed you at the Binder Bee. Are you planning on coming to the Round Up?

Lyle, is it the 8 day drive you can,t do :D thanks anyway.
I'm very upset about missing the Bee but some work committments kept me away. But that work allowed me to buy an Original & put some $$ into the 80 & fed all the wolves & upgrade my menu ;)

ragtop I'm still looking at my options but I coming by to see your place, hopefully I get the Scout done I want to come to Shelton on Aug 13 for thier truck show maybe camp that week and finish up with the round up in Lacey but worst case is I'll drive my MR2  to the round up. I've already booked someone to look after my buiss for the week.

I'll be getting a quote on shipping tomorrow for the tractor $$$$
    anyone care to guess?
    tractor weight 475 lbs
    blade 87 lbs
    mowwer deck 125lbs
having it in my backyard = PRICELESS $$$$

    Don-

Finally have a few minutes.

What a great find! An early original to boot. It'll make a great addition being towed behind your early Scout. :)

I've got a friend that's planning on making (I think) a trip back to the far coast to deliver a tractor or two. Want me to ask what he'd charge to bring it back?

By chance, are you going to attend the Lyndon Washington show this weekend?

    Brad

Well its official ! :D Almost 1 year to the day from when it was purchased. It has crossed the country safely 3500 + miles and a 30 mile ferry ride to its new home. He has now been introduced to his 3 brothers and seems to be fitting in real well. Now all I need is some quality time with him to hear it run.
pics to follow...dang I miss being red

I bet it is great to finally have her home. Now all you need to do is to bring both to Lynden and Monroe. Nice looking pair and quiet too!

Very nice Don. I hope some of us can come up and take her for a spin. That will look simply sweet when it is finished.
