Back to its old tricks again for me today.
Same here , tried a few different settings on Firefox --Same issues
Scrolling to the top is wearing my finger out
Everything here is ok. But I do think there is an issue, as things have been a little more quiet than normal. I'm using the latest chrome browser, and no issues...
I have tried to contact two moderators and nether one has responded back. I looked and the Administrator has not been on Binder Planet for some time. So your guess is as good as mine.
I have been having the same issue as well with the back button. Using Firefox on Windows 10. Worked fine yesterday but today it's back to not wanting to work correctly.
Worse than ever on FF using windows 7
Internet Explorer, Windows 7, seams to be working with no extra page loads for this thread.
Is there any computer people on here? I am tired of this problem, is it a compatibility problem with Fire Fox? and if so why did it start now? Dose it have any thing to do with the robots in the Members Online Now area?
If you want a quick fix google chrome works perfect.
Google already has its tentacles around most people much more than they know or would like, so I don't consider that a good option. There should be another better solution. I've been meaning to contact a Firefox group about the problem, but have not gotten a good chance to do so lately.
I don't like it either, but won't say any more to avoid getting political. I do turn off everything possible and run ad block plus for whatever that's worth. Not sure what happened with Firefox. It used to be great.
I normally have at least 3 computers logged on at any one time. That's why I'm always shown online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
win 10 IE, win7 IE, win 7 chrome, vista mozilla
I have not had any problems with any setups I run with the back button.
I'm on vista/mozilla in my shop right now. 9pm, still working!
I did discuss with Jeff about speed and he had reset the system and it seemed to help.
Everyone that runs this site has a day job and we take care of the site and the community as quick as we can.
Sorry if some feel we don't do it quick enough.
I can ping him to see if he has heard of any mozilla issues, but if that's where most of the issues are, I doubt this site can do anything about it till there is a patch.
That's appreciated Navy Bill. Just speaking for myself, but with the feeling that the same can be said for many of the other's who've posted here, this is the only site I frequent or even visit not so frequently that I experience these issues on. If it was global for me, then I'd have the wherewithal to realize that I was the one with the problem and not just one website.
Keep in mind that due to security issues we were experiencing, the site switched to this Xenforo software.
So when comparing to other sites, ensure they are running the same website software.
Otherwise it really isn't the same.
There may be a Xenforo/Mozilla software issue.
I will talk to Jeff and see if he can find anything.
Thanks for your help, Bill.
The last few log-ins have been on Internet Explorer which I generally only use for one registry of deeds site that wont run on FF per disclaimer on that site because IE is riddled with that pesky Googleads dot g dot doubleclick that loads umpteen blank pages while viewing one page rendering back arrow useless. I don't use chrome, I don't like anything Google, its like a virus sniffing through every key stroke then bombarding with unwanted adds that take time to load.
VERY correct !
Seems reasonable, which is why I included in Post 6 my system information and the question "Maybe only a XenForo problem?"
Is there a XenForo agent who the question could be put to? If it's a Firefox/XenForo compatibility problem, this site shouldn't be the only one having the problem.
Back button working well so far this morning.
I am still getting the 'circling arrow' activity where my tab ID (IH designation) should remain fixed, I still am getting the quickly changing notice lower left about what's trying to load (e.g."waiting for secure adnxs.com"), and my CPU reflects the activity. Yesterday early (6:30 AM west coast time) it was acting up, some hours later it was behaving much better, and it got normally-bad some hours after that, so it seems to be influenced by other factors, possibly internet traffic or site activity?
I've taken to center clicking (to open in a new tab) New Posts or any threads I want to read, so use the Back Button much less now and can't say how it's working for me ... but assume it's still bad when the above factors also are.
I can confirm this happens with Firefox but is fine in Chrome.
There is a few updates I need to perform and that may solve the issue.. I will need to look into it further.
