This is my 1973 Scout II...has the 345 V8 and 727 tranny. Installed a 6 point roll cage from D and C Extreme and am hopefully going to finish the stereo system today so I can bolt down the new Corbeau seats with 3 point should seat belts. 20191015_084025.jpg 20191015_083958.jpg 20191015_084025.jpg 20191015_083958.jpg

Thankyou I stepped out on a limb with this color choice...after all it is a Ford green :/ however my inspiration came from the Steve McQueen flick Bullitt....this is the "highland green" from Steve McQueen's Mustang in that 1968 film.

I thought that color looked familiar! Good choice!

Thankyou! This 73 Scout was still in it's original paint when I got it almost 3 years ago and it was the dark green with white hard top. I do like the original IH color but I just felt that the Steve McQueen green being a bit darker would really complement the Scout well. Also with that theme I did the "Mustang" styled side rocker stripes and a "Mustang" styled GT wooden steering wheel with chrome.

20191026_130935.jpg 20191026_105818.jpg went to the range today in the Scout. Took the old man my brother and my nephew. It was my nephew's first time at the indoor range he did great! They were also the first passengers to ride in my new Corbeau seats and said they were very comfortable.

oh yeah...that green really works..!!!!!..looks like IH should have used that color back in the day..
dark green or red was my 2 color choices for my truck...everybody talked me into to red because my 53 chevy truck is already dark green

Good luck with the auction on BAT! I hope it brings all the Green!!

Are you moving on to another? You've sold a few on BAT - I'm curious what the next project will be.

Thank you Gimlet! Yes my Dad and I are already working on our next Scout which is also a '73 with 345 and 727. Besides that one we are also building a camping trailer out of a parts Scout that we had. It will look like a real Scout just minus the drivetrain.
By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
