According to the previous owners son it had been restored around '94 and driven very little since so first thing was to get it running which wasn't really that bad it had a newer holly 2300 on it that got a rebuild and I had a Prestolite distributor in my shed from an '80 so with a new cap and rotor we added electronic ignition new plugs and wires fuel pump, lines and poly tank we were up and running [IMG]

I guess it is. It looked like the end cap and rear quarters were seamless. Nice looking rig.

Alright so catching up, the p/o did a wonderful job of hiding rust, bondo and really crappy patch jobs

You can see in the second pic that the front fender is starting to shed its bondo and is nearly rusted in half rockers are full of bondo the front floors were patched and held together with a combination of bondo, seam sealer and silicone so after alot of thought and weighing pros and cons we decided to swap tubs luckily I still had my '77 SSII body it had rusty quarters but but nice floors, rockers, body mounts, windshield frame and a passenger side fender [IMG]

This pretty well gets us to now, tub still off in the process of swapping rear quarters firewall is painted and while we've got easy access to it we decided to go ahead and swap the 3spd for the t18 we pulled last summer the frame will get cleaned up and painted the t18 and d20 are resealed and painted and the motor will be cleaned and detailed [IMG]
