Close, but no cigar. The full monte SOA doesn't come with these....But we're putting them on anyway. ~ The way you could tell is that the stock shock mounts were cut off.:batman:

The Ford F250 shock mounts for the LTSS we're going to throw in there for ya. Wouldn't want you to get spanked by some Jeeps.

Hehehe ~ no. The shocks up against the wall is some Fox AirShocks that are used on buggies. The mounts on the counter, yes, they are shock mounts, but not the Airshock mounts ~ they're your shock mounts. We're also going to surprise you when you come get the scout later.:santa:

    Chris,

I'm trying to get a run together for Saturday, I'll try and get things organized to get your rig there ~ I think it'll be good for your rig since the springs need to soften up a touch. Do you think you can make it? We'll need the tires.

The 22nd. Happy future B-day ~ by the way. The trail is not difficult at all, the only way to roll is to do something very dumb. Just a good break-in run, that's all.

Saran Wrap, Eagle Rock, stuff like that.

No, CORE is up by you, I don't plan on driving the scout that far right now. The trails I'm talking about are in the Colo. Springs area.

Well, I might as well update this a little bit. With the front axle rebuilt, ground down, and under the rig, it was time to replace the stock T-case yokes with CV-style yokes and attach the driveshafts. This allows us to set the pinion angles.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the CV style shaft, the first picture is a close up of the double joint. Notice that it has two joints in it instead of one. These joints cancel each others vibration and allow for high-speed driving in 4WD without any vibrations.

The double joints at the t-case require you to point the yoke up towards the transfer case outputs (as seen in the last picture here).

The next step was to turn the knuckles. We put about 5-6 degrees of caster into this front end ~ that'll help Chris's 35s steer straight down the road. Once the knuckles were turned and the installed, we mocked up the steering rods.

    More coming later....

I tend to overbuild things, so I can appreciate those pics. The U-bolts, spring plates, rods, steering arms.....very stout, therefore very nice!

Very much so. I had to do some arrends around town today, but will be heading to the shop to take more pictures a little later, I'm hoping it'll be on its weight by then. We just need the new rims/tires since the old drum wheels rub the disc brakes.

The radiator has been in, but we tried to mount it today and have to do some work on the mounts before it'll it in there the way its supposed to. Shocks are next ~ After that its getting the wheels on and taking it for a test drive.

Although this project is finished. I've got to manipulate (shrink/crop) the pictures before posting them. Should have something up tomorrow morning.
