i know the most custom fabbing and welding gets done in here, so i figured this was the best place to post this, move if necessary! this welder will be used on IH stuff too sooooo.... :D

i want a welder, my friend has a 110V millermatic and it's awesome, we use it on everything from sheetmetal up to 5/16 bumpers. anyone have experience with the 220V 252?

I have a millermatic DVI (dual voltage) at work.It runs on 110 or 220.Best mig I have ever used, makes mine at home suck.I use it on 110 mostly. Its not very cheap, but I highly recomend it as you dont need to move things just to be close to a 220 outlet unless you are doing some real heavy steel.

I second that. I have a Miller DVI-2 and the best welder I have. I also have a Miller bobcat 225. I have used my friends miller 225 mig and its a great machine and he uses it in his body shop. But it is not as versatile as the DVI.
