    We're glad to have you

for cleaning out your old fuel tank get some good cleaner (purple power, super clean simple green) a couple hands full of gravel or a chain will work to beat the rust out of it just put water and whatever you use to beat the rust out in with some of the cleaner and turn it once your satisfied with the results from that I'd get some metal etch and us standard gas tank treatment from POR 15 Ive done this process on 3 or 4 gas tanks and it works better than anything else Ive found

Yeah welcome Engineer we are glad to have you here, I spent two weeks cleaning one summer of 2010 so if you have any questions I might be able to help figure it out along with the other guys Matt's process sounds good to me. I used soap I think and hot water and then when it got about the right color I used acetone as a follow up but then I kept having trouble and found that the thing was getting more crud in it so I dropped it down to pull it and do more thorough cleaning and to my surprise was 8 big holes in the top of the tank rusted through glad I found that before I filled it up at the gas station.

Im looking for a Scout II parts truck, '75 to '80 Im looking for one with a complete drivetrain and steering I pretty much need everything but the body as I have a '77 SSII near perfect tub that has been completely parted out before I got it my preference is 345/727 but for the right price will definitely take any SV with auto or standard

    Matt and all Mid-South guys,

New to the forum, I'm in Olive Branch, MS just south of Memphis. I've got a '75 Scout II I pulled out of a shed in Texas last fall that I'm building. I've got a bunch of stuff that might interest folks. I don't intend to use the 345 in it. I also have a rebuilt 727 from a '68 T-all that came with it. Make me a reasonable offer for them and come help me pull the engine.

Anyone needing an original front bumper (good chrome, slight bend), rear step bumper (bent on one side), gas tank (needs cleaning), pair of blue houndstooth pretty ratty bucket seats...bring me a case of good beer and they're yours.

I need a rust free drivers side fender if you want to barter.

    Dave

Seems pretty high to me, and the 304 heads and intake will not work on the 345
