Is the Just IH site gone? It was a little behind the times, but now it appears to be shut down. Anyone know what happened?

That sucks alot of info on that site. Especially for the 80/800 scouts.

I remember this site going away "forever" once. Seemed like the end of an era. Then it came back under another name.

I hope it comes back up. There is a ton of great info there, in fact, Bill Hamilton posted his fi build thread there, and we often post the links here to that. I think his headliner thread is there also.

Plus lots of other cool stuff that doesn't get mentioned here. some of those guys don't post often here...It would be sad to see it go away.

I remember when the binder bulletin went down, and binder planet was born. I thought I was going to die in the interim!

I visit justIH often. Hopefully it's just a hiccup.

Unsure how it effects a sites life but activity over there was getting pretty slow. When there's very few new posts in a month or so , kinda figured it's time might be nearing a end. Maybe it'll come back but it was like the Kmart of these two sites. I stopped responding to parts wanted/sale over there. Always completely ignored. Got the impression that a good portion of the posters were in a close knit group and either didn't want to deal with a newb or anything much from the northeast. I don't know, could be wrong. But that's why I gave up visiting the site on a regular basis.

I noticed that the site itself was getting slow. Took forever to load up... and I know it wasn't me (fiberoptics). Maybe it a tech issue or they got hacked?

Anyway, a reminder that there is always people or a person behind the sites that have to do the grunt work of keeping the site going... as well as pay for the bandwidth. They are an underappreciated group and it's easy to forget that this stuff doesn't just magically appear for free. If they are indeed gone over there and you are lamenting them, turn that emotion into appreciation for the people that stoke the boilers here.

Actually... yes. And I've found that to be somewhat of an issue, especially for newbies. The Binder Bulletin used to be 'the' site for old IH info forums and data. Then there's Just IH, IH Only (IH Parts America), and a few others. I know about the 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' thing, but it is easier to look up and seek info on only one or two main sites. Recently, I'm seeing more people using the various Scout/IH Facebook groups to seek tech info, and that seems to further dilute the info pool.
