Anybody interested in a pair of Scout II Bucket seats needing upholstering, a new Scout II 3"Body lift kit, or a set of SSII mirrors (Mount on front window frame) or a Jeep swing away spare tire carrier with oversize wheel adapter (bolts to a rear bumper that is approximately 2" deep by 4" high).

Let me know and I'll bring them along and we can haggle on price.

Also have 80 Scout square head lights and buckets that are free to anyone who can use them.

I am planning on arriving at 9:00 AM Saturday. What's the address again?

I also have a brand new Scout II radiator from Super Scout Specialists that it turns out, I didn't need. Lists for $499. Save $50 and shipping cost and take it off my hands for $450.

OK I should have done this sooner. I do have a nice set of Russet seats, two buckets and a rear. All in great shape. Even have the front bases with adjusters. I am not going to let these go cheap but if you are interested I might be able to pack them in for the trip. The only real tear is on the driver's side down by the adjustment handle in the second picture. The rear is a quite buried but I remember it being in excellent condition too.

In spite of the 1/10th inch of snow and the statewide school closures due to the "1st Big Storm of the Season" I am headed north to my ODBA Brothers WWD! :hammer:

The whipping boy is getting ready :wrenching:

Sincerly, thank you for the invite

Debbie is making a Pot o' Chili for snacking on thru out the day, And I'm putting serious consideration into showing up in a Heep again, (My Terra's heater still leaves something to be desired... Like.... Heat.)

Speaking of heat, I discovered that my heater is not hooked up and the turn signals and instrument lights are not working in my 80 Scout. I never got the opportunity to drive it in the cold or at night. Speedometer is also not working after the swap of the Muncie 4-speed for a 700R4. Hoping for some help to hooking up these loose ends that the guy who sold to me failed to do in his haste to turn his retoration project into cash. Will be a chilly drive to Bridgewater.

I am approaching the point where, having no interest in anything I have for sale, I won't be bringing any items along. Speak now if you have any interest.

What's the problem with the heat? I have a ton of heater cores and at least a couple blower motors. I also have decent used valves and maybe even cables. Let me know what you need and I'll bring it for you on the cheap.

Hey Alan...How many sets of those cables do you have? I could use 1, too. The only one I have is to the blend door on my yellow scout. I could also use a valve, I think. There's steam coming from the current valve when it's running...

John--I have a GOOD heater box for you, if that's part of the problem.

I'll go see what I have and let you know. I always try and save at least one of each kind of cable. Ditto on the valve. If I don't have a good used one I have a new one you could have for what I paid for it.

Is the heat just not hooked up, or is something broken? Like I mentioned to John & Ty above I might have a part you need.

I'm interested in the SSII mirrors. I'll haggle with you on the price if you'd be willing to hold a check until next Friday. I have a bad case of the broke this weekend. :)

Honestly, I think the problem is not being able to keep enough antifreeze in it to reach the heater core on a regular basis :), I swapped out the blower motor last fall, and it blows great, I also have a relatively new valve on it.... I just drive it so little in the winter, I haven't put a lot of effort into figuring it out... I haven't even checked the heater core to see if it is clear....

Great day at the ODBA Wrenching Day! Thanks Mike and everyone else for helping get many of the bugs out of my 80 Scout and identifying things to be done. I am more upbeat about this vehicle than I have allowed myself to be in some time. And, I learn something every time we have one of these.

Mike, you are one great host for these ODBA work sessions. I don't know what things were like that caused the group to be banned from the facilities, but I can't imagine a better group of folks who are passionate about their vehicles and enjoy attacking the challenges presented with great humor ever present.

Allan and John, I am sorry that I did not see your posts about the SSII mirrors. I am not desperate for the $ and can hold them or mail them. I was going to use them on the 80 Scout until I found that the windshield frame is fiberglass.

I wish Brian had been able to make this wrenching day.

Thanks again Mike! Great IH Trucking To All!!
