My wife and I watched this new movie last night on Netflix called the F**k It List. The movie was listed as a comedy but turned-out to be more of a teeny-bopper, kids movie.
Anyways, at one point, the girl is driving what looks to be a Scout but the windshield just looked way too big for some reason. Ive had three Scouts now so i feel stupid for asking this but what was she driving?

Yes, they did something weird to the inside doors.

Yep. There was a discussion about it over on the "Scout/IH Sightings" thread a few weeks back. And the oddly tall looking windshield was also wondered about.

I remember there's a thread about Scout's in movies and on tv, where is that again?

Yep. It might have started with that kind of sighting. But people also post pics of interesting IH vehicles they've seen on the roadside, in parking lots, etc.

Jeff's recent post brought it up to the top today... probably for your benefit:

I saw the movie before noticing it mentioned here on BP. I didn't even realize the windshield was odd. Must have been something blonde in the way. Funny though, the missing wipers still caught my eye.

The wing windows are also MIA. Maybe that's what makes it look odd.

That windshield is ginormous! If Scouts could have receding hair lines and high foreheads, this is what it would look like.

    :laugh::laugh:....

Noticed that as well. The pic seems distorted but it sure looks like the roll bar above the passengers heads is higher than a roof would be. Nothing seems to be in proportion. Unless both actors are 4' 10'' or sitting on the floor , the windshield frame must have been lengthened for some odd reason.

Both actors are really small, their shoulders are barely above door height, but I laid another Scout over it with the same perspective and it looks like they lengthened it about 8 inches. Notice no wipers too.

Maybe an NBA player owned it.

Hah. Maybe! The seats, some kind of aftermarket sport seats, could just be sitting on low pedestals, making the two actors seem so short. Also evidence of a > 6'8" previous owner though. And also why they didn't bother with having wipers. Wouldn't have the sweep to clear the windshield up high where a tall guy would need it?

I was thinking, how does one even make a taller WSF that has the correct taper? Probably started with cutting up two WSFs. And of course the gasket is made from two gaskets.

Ha, I was commenting on the same thing in the "scout sightings" thread, thought maybe the picture was stretched or something. After seeing multiple angles, that thing has to be modified!

    A little story for ya.
Maybe 6-8 years ago, there was a Scout on Ebay that was for-lack-of-a-better-word, just badass!
It was in Texas somewhere. The description said they took a rust-free Scout and had a shop do a frame-off, put a LS in it, and had some crazy stereo system. It was said to be made for a ex-NBA player. So, I messaged the seller and asked who the truck was made for and he said something to the effect, "It was made for me, sir. My name is Bobby Sura." So I messaged him back that I knew who he was and loved watching him at Florida State with Charlie Ward.
I would have loved to have bought his Scout but he wanted something like 30 or 35k. If I remember correctly, he said he had over 60k into it.
