Uh oh..... found another one!:punk: 1940's 3 axle dump. Here is the craigslist link and it is located in Wolf Creek. Have emailed him to get some better pics. This one looks like it needs a lot of work too!

I think it is funny that he thinks the axles are worth something. He must think it has Rockwells under it.

    Which it doesn't.

Even if it did have Rockwells under it they are not worth even half of what he is asking. You can find steering Rockwells all day long for around $300 here.

This truck is 25 miles above Grants Pass right off of highway 5. The motor is out and in the bed. Its a badly beat dump.
Thats trucks probably got $25 axles considering what the truck was used for before it was put rest.
The brake job and new tires alone will cost about 2 grand and thats if you do the work.
You will have to unload a crap load of pig iron before you can tell if the bed is shot. It has sat loaded for many years from the looks of things.
If it was two blocks from my house I would give him scrap value or 5 tons X $60 a ton = $300 But the cost to haul it out negates that by at least $200 in fuel. so its a wash which makes it worthless in most peoples books.
Sometimes its best to let them rest in peace.

Not mine, and I don't know much about these rigs... Thought you guys might be interested, it looks like a pretty cool truck. No engine, no listed price, and him saying "make me an offer" might be your lucky day?

Paul, What model International is it? I could not tell from the pics. It is funny how many military trucks you see after you buy one. I found a IH halftrack that I posted pics of a couple months ago. Last weekend I found another halftrack (not an IH though) and a couple bigger WWII trucks (a Studebaker and a GM) Still have not started on my M-2-4 yet, collecting parts and info and getting a spot cleared in the shop as it is next in line. That truck is a M-3L-4 1 1/2 ton International 4x4 Cargo truck that needs work and a bed.
It is up in the hills and would need to be trailered out of the spot it is in thats why it is still there.
$1500 is a lot for that truck where it is sitting.
For the trouble to haul it off and not running it should be more like $800.
It has been on Craigslist for a long time and several people have talked to the owner.

    Good Luck

Saw more than 2 dozen M-2-4's and -5's and plenty of other gems on the history channel yesterday. You have to watch the series WWII in HD. I think it was in episode 8, dealing with the invasion of Iwo Jima where i saw the most trucks departing and returning to the LST's. This series is made from footage that have never been published before. Also, Patton 360, is a series on Blood And Guts himself with lots of great footage. Watch closely, I saw several old IHC gems on here too..

In the Feb / Mar MVCC newsletter there is listed for sale a 1943 M2-4. Ad states " Runs good. Tires good.Body rough.Has been in lots of Alameda ( Calif) parades. asking $3500. Larry 510 533 6440"

I have no connection with this seller and am just passing the info along.
