Hey guys I found this SSII and the guy is looking to sell it but I have no idea what its worth. Pictures are hard to tell much but it is in very good shape. Minimal rust and some rock chips but it has been garaged for a long time. This guy bought it new and has had all the work done professionally. It has a rebuilt 392 with around 60k on it. He had it rebuilt around 3k ago. He has all the original parts (wheels, seats, Top, Doors, ect..) Let me know what you think!

I like it a lot. It's looks like a '79 which is my favorite year and I believe they made fewer 79's than either of the other two years. Be sure to take a good look underneath it. That's usually where Scouts begin to rust. What engine is in it a 304 or 345? The 4 speed is a big plus too. Did you drive it? How much does he want for it?

Yea it is a 79. It has a 392 in it that has been rebuilt. He is asking $12,000 but he has a 4 door 1210 with a rebuilt 392 that is all there but just needs to be put together and finished and a 2wd 2 door 1000 (I think) that has the side step bed and a parts donor for the 2 door. He wants to sell them all.

Sorry, I didn't see the 392 in your description. $12k is probably more than it's worth. If it was painted and a turn key Scout, maybe. I'd say it's worth around $8k now.

I thought in your other thread it said rebuilt 345 for the SSII. 392 for the 4 door.
Either way I'd like to see the pics of the four door.

I finally got some pictures of the SSII and the other trucks. The Travelette has all the pieces they just need to be painted and put back on the truck.
