I'm transplanting my 69 aristocrat body onto my 66 scout frame, the 152 engine works good but the carb seems to be squirting the gas down the Venturi and not spraying/atomizing the gas into the engine. I've already rebuilt the carb but I'm new to doing it so it is possible I did something wrong,I got the video of it squirting into the engine so you guys can see. As it is the engine doesn't want to start but it will start on ether and last year we had it starting on a squirt bottle and then it would stay running.

EDIT it won't let me upload the video

I'm not well versed on the 1904s, but typically on carbs, the accelerator pump is what is responsible for delivering the proper fuel squirt when the throttle linkage is cycled. That's where you should focus your attention.

What you are seeing is perfectly normal for the accelerator pump. Just a supplementary shot of fuel to prevent the dreaded hesitation. It only operates in transitional periods. The main discharge nozzle further down, dispenses an atomized mist of fuel and air.
