Can I blank them off is non turbo want to put this engin in Land Rover defender
do you know what they're for before you cap them off ?

ok, will look in my manual and see what i come up with.
my manual doesn't show what they're for. but the upper 1 is near the water jacket, and the lower 1 is near the oil passage's. best i can do for you.
They are both for oil. I believe they are the supply and return for the alternator... I plugged mine as I'm planning on going to hydro boost and not using the stock alternator...
Can I cap them off don't need it for alternator
The bottom one looks really clean inside need to be 100% sure before I cap them both off
If you are not going to use them, then yes, you can cap them off.

your oil holes you asked about
the stock alt is lubed by the engine oil thru them holes in the block.
