Jack Mitchell announced at the Heartland meeting following the Sunflower show that he was interested in going to Disney the weekend of October 13. He thought that was the weekend we had got together in years past. Is ther any Oklahoma Interest??

I would hope that the lake would be down by then. I think they are letting out water some now, but that should work for me and the family. Hope the show went over great. Sorry I couldn't make it, had to do the work thing. Oh well gotta pay bills and buy parts. ha ha ha

I would like to get more info on the club. I am in Moore and when I had my Jeep I wheeled with the Oklahoma Trailchasers. I have been to Disney about 5 times now and it is my favorite spot to wheel in Oklahoma. I now wheel a 1962 Scout 80. I replaced the axles with full size chevy stuff and am running 36" Goodyears. Next swap is a 350/SM465/NP205. Anyway let me know about the club and you can count me in for the Disney trip.

Disney in October sounds good to me! Maybe by then I can save up enough 'GAS' money to actually be able to afford a trip in the Scout!?

I live in OKC and have a J**p. However, I have owned and loved several Scouts and IHC trucks. Could I come along? I have never been to Disney, we are new to the state.

    I will be there.

I would like to arrive on the 10th or 11th and leave on the 14th. Not like my 18 hours at disney last year, then drive home in the rain.

Not for sure what my schedule holds for me that month. I am on cover duty, so whatever needs to be done I do. I am sure that the elder and wiser would for sure be able to go for a few more days. I will If I can, the bottom of my foot is itching pretty bad for some attention....:wrenching:

    Thanks Richard,

I know Jack likes to spread the trip out to make it worth the driving distance. I would like to do the same. Plus the Scout has not been off of the pavement since April, and I have the itch pretty bad. (That same spot as Brians foot.)

Less than a month fawkers.... Had a huge load lifted off my shoulders this week. The VORTEC runs. Barring catostrophic failure of something minor the ole girl will finally see the rocks again after being layed up for almost two years. Ordering driveshafts Monday and hope to goof around with it a little before the maiden voyage.. Hope we have a good turnout seeings how the club hasn't done much this year. We will have some good giveaways, also some stuff from Natls in Ohio last month. See you there......

    SWSers,

Perhaps not Disney info, but, it's all related in my head.

Of course with a wheeling date scheduled a month out, I started cutting out my rockers and floors last weekend. To do this I had to seperate the front and rear of my cage. I would like to make this easier next time the cage needs to come out.

I saw something called a tubing coupler on the TracTracTor chunk of the BB site (Josh's SR-2 build). Do any of you know where I could find these?

    Back on subject,

Hogans is below the lake. Shortly after crossing the first dam on highway 28 eastbound, it's the first right turn after the fire station in Disney. If you pass the burger stand you have gone too far.

Man am I looking forward to Disney!

    Mike

Not for sure what size your cage is but here is one style. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/ID-Tube-Clamp_p_21-1467.html

I think poly performance carries something also. http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/product.php?productid=66&cat=58&page=1

Looks like poly has more sizes and are a little cheaper. hope this helps

    Thanks Brian,

Poly has my size @ $40 a pop. I wonder if I could have them made locally for less. I tried at Horizen off road next to suplees' but he shut down. I will hit some machine shops in town at lunch tommorow.

    Thanks again

    M

If you get the part # and company to order from take it to Supplee, I bet his price is the best you'll find.
