Cracked frame repair

    Hey guys,

    Every L series pickup I have seen (total of ~5) has some crack damage to the frame at the front angled cross-member that the front engine support is attached to; my L-110 is no exception. Since it would seem that this is a common problem I was wondering if there are any good fixes. I already MIG welded it back together, but was considering adding some extra support since that area under the steering box is pitted a bit from rust. I could weld it in or bolt it in. Any creative ideas or thoughts? It also might be just fine the way it is...

    I don't know; do you think the frame is made of mild steel? I agree that pictures would be a great help for those of us who don't know those frames.
