JJ..i don't spray anything for bugs in the shop...my temp paint booth is fully enclosed..so I'm not sure how they got in there...before I spray I always look around for flying bugs...I never saw them..when I was done, it all looked good, I turned off the lights...that's what I found the next morning...

Ray, about all I can do is joke about it..being butthurt about it wont change nuthing. I think what I'm gonna do is put 20-30 coats of paint on it...surely out of 30 , one will be good...haha

How do the cats bite over there in that kind of heat?

this is usually the best time of the yr for cats.. here is a big 50+lb flathead my buddy caught on limb lines..he was going down the creek setting his hooks,,when he came back up the creek one of his limbs was bouncing..he pulled this one up...funny part was he had caught a small blue cat on the hook..and the flathead tried to swaller the blue..and the blues fins is all that had the flathead caught...
if you look on the right side of the flathead down by his gills you can see part of the blues tail sticking out of his gills

    Two in One!!!!

That's great! Wish we had cats like that over here. We don't have the biggest fish over here. We have reasonable bass and panfish, and I guess people get some nice trout and steelhead, but the catfish here are pretty small. Somebody should make a fishing talk thread in the martini lounge so people could share their fishing stories. Maybe I'll do that at some point.

That ought to take your mind of the bug trails in your paint! Sounds good!

Be careful what you wish for.... I think I have the dog hair situation under control. Now I just need to figure out how to NOT drop recently painted parts on the concrete driveway.

Finally catching up with some build threads and noticed you are still on track to be nominated for the "jinx of the year" award. I don't know if your bug friends were indeed performing the backstroke on your paint, but they sure made a mess of things. Our local pool finally opened so I'm back at it; instead of the backstroke, I'm more-or-less in the sinking stroke mode though!

I hate this virus thing. For most, its no big deal, but for those affected, the effect is somewhere between horrible and death.

Well...I finally got up enough nerve/gumption/courage to try and wet sand the doodle bug leavings outta my newly painted hood...
I'm not sure how much paint I removed, but I got 90% of the 4 worst spots out..I reckon they was breaking their legs off in the paint while they was doing their thang...as I was sanding you could feel bug parts roll up under the sandpaper everytime I went across his mess...I'll have to get it out in the sun where i can see it good....I'm not sure how many paint layers I've got till i hit primer...this being the 2nd goaround for paint on the hood, I may be ok..

Nicely done Sir! Very nicely done.

I think it's high time pass the baton to someone else so they can keep dropping it. If it's OK with you, I gotta pass. Bad knees you know.
