I getting ready to change out the Dana rattle link clutch to a Rockford style on my Nieson diesel Scout. Before someone said that i need to install the clutch plate backwards to normal and I want toke sure I get it right.
Is this the side that goes against the flywheel ?

And why does it make a difference?

The first photo face goes against the flywheel.
The second photo face goes against the pressure plate.
"Why does it make a difference?" ....It only fits and works when installed properly.
