A friend of mine, just bought a case 1845B Uniloader, with the gas engine. The previous owner installed a Pertronix electronic ignition and still utilized the external ballast resistor. I know with points, that you want 12V when starting and then less when running, so you don't burn the points up. But I am not sure if this makes a difference with the Pertronix set up. Anyone have any idea about this? I emailed Pertronix, but have not heard anything back from them.
    Thanks,
    Kurt

No ballast resistor required with Pertronix
