Congratulations- I think for what you paid, it’s a good deal. It’s a 1978 SSII and that color is not common. If you purchase the LST I hope you will consider registering it on my site superscoutregistry.com and would love to get a copy of the LST for my records.
Look forward to see how you proceed with it.

Will do! The LST was ordered and I’ll happily share a copy for the site.

Tahitian red? Same color mine was original. That's going to take a lot of $$$ to save. Hopefully the frame isn't rotted through too. Mine was.

Terracotta Red I believe is the color. Definitely test my welding skills; the frame looks solid from what I could see but won't know till the body comes off. No intention to get started immediately though.

Ya. Unless the floors are solid, which I highly doubt, I'd be finding a new tub from the west coast.

What state did you find that one? Please don't say AZ. :sweatdrop:

We should all be worried if AZ! It is an Indiana truck.

That one looks like a lost cause to me, but it seems like you are up for a challenge. Have fun with it.

Even the frame would be ??? Knowing what happens to these trucks in IN. It’s not called the rust belt for nothing.

John Glancy just brought in a number of Arizona tubs as well- not sure of his plans- but suspect some if not all are for sale.

Wish I'd seen this sooner! That's a top line Gold Star 345 Baja Cruiser, 8-SCSS-44-516! With a CT-399 color no less! 2012 is indeed an unusual color. Because it was a CT-399 color, it
didn't have an official name. Get this one restored and you will have a real knockout!

Thanks Jim, appreciate the comments. I've been reading the special editions sections of the Scout IIs of your book over and over trying to learn more.
I will indeed get this one restored and back on the road eventually (I hope sooner than later).
